Choreography by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker

In ‘Just Before’ (1997), Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker collaborated with the Ictus Ensemble and Jolente De Keersmaeker, member of the theatre company STAN. Just Before was the first of a series of four productions with text as a central element. The second piece, ‘Quartett’, is a smaller project co-produced by STAN and Rosas, that was premièred in Brussels in March 1999.

Two months later the relation of text and dance was explored again in ‘I said ‘I, for which Anne Teresa renewed the collaboration with Ictus and her sister Jolente De Keersmaeker. In 2000 the series of four was completed by a production in which the dancers of Rosas, the actors of STAN and the musicians of the Belgian jazz ensemble Aka Moon are together on stage.

‘In Real Time’ was premièred in Brussels in the new Rosas performance space on May 18, 2000, in a presentation of La Monnaie and Kunsten FESTIVAL des Arts.
